Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and BukhSU: New Prospects for Science, Education and Cooperation

A series of scientific and educational events aimed at further strengthening the integration of science and higher education was held at Bukhara State University with the participation of the leadership and academicians of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Bukhara State University welcomed Shavkat Abdullaevich Ayupov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hero of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor and Academician; Shamansur Shakhsaidovich Sag‘dullaev, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences and Chief Scientific Secretary; Utkir Abdullaevich Roziqov, Deputy Director of the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor and Academician; as well as other distinguished academicians.

The distinguished guests were accompanied by Obidjon Khamidov, Rector of Bukhara State University and Professor, who briefed them on the reforms being implemented at the university, the organization of educational and research processes, the conditions created for faculty members and students, ongoing scientific and innovative projects, and the university’s strategic priorities.

During the visit, the academicians toured the Registrar’s Office and the Student Activities Hall, and familiarized themselves with the scientific and creative works of students and young researchers, innovative projects, and achievements displayed in the foyer of BukhSU.

The guests were also presented with the university’s large-scale development and construction projects. In particular, they were introduced to the concept of the new modern BukhSU campus, including plans for state-of-the-art educational, research, and social infrastructure designed to provide enhanced opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers.

Academicians Explore the Activities of the Bukhara Branch of the Institute of Mathematics

One of the key destinations of the visit was the Bukhara Branch of the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Durdimurod Durdiev, Professor of the Department of Differential Equations at Bukhara State University and Head of the Bukhara Branch of the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics, briefed the guests on the fundamental and applied research conducted at the branch, its established scientific areas, and the research activities of scholars and young researchers.

Particular attention during the discussions was given to further strengthening the scientific potential of the branch, developing scientific schools, engaging young mathematicians more actively in fundamental research, and enhancing the integration of academic science with university-based research.

The parties also exchanged views on expanding joint research initiatives, advancing promising scientific fields, and providing greater support for young researchers.

Presentation of Contemporary Scientific Publications

As part of the visit, a presentation of scientific publications addressing current issues in the modern economy, labour market, and artificial intelligence was also held.

In particular, the English-language textbook “Labor Economics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” authored by Academician K.H. Abdurakhmanov, was presented. The textbook examines the transformations taking place in labour economics and social and labour relations in the era of artificial intelligence.

Another publication presented was the textbook “Labor Economics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” authored by Academician K.H. Abdurakhmanov and Professor N.K. Zakirova. The textbook provides a scholarly analysis of the transformation of the labour market under the influence of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the evolving role of human capital, changes in forms of employment, modern professional competencies, and emerging requirements for specialists in the labour market of the future.

The presentation of these publications served as an important platform for academic exchange on artificial intelligence, human capital, labour relations, and the future prospects of the labour market.

At the conclusion of the visit, Obidjon Khamidov, Rector of Bukhara State University and Professor, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the academicians for their visit and the productive academic dialogue.

As a symbol of mutual respect and scientific cooperation, the academicians were presented with commemorative gifts from Bukhara State University.

The visit represents an important step towards further strengthening scientific cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Bukhara State University, enhancing the integration of academic science and higher education, expanding joint research initiatives, and promoting the active involvement of young scholars in scientific research.
