As part of the “90 Days of Engagement” programme, Bukhara State University, in cooperation with the University Employees’ Trade Union Committee, organized an educational and cultural visit to Tashkent for a delegation of 50 students, faculty members and university employees.

The programme included visits to the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the “Shon-Sharaf” State Museum at Victory Park, and the Museum of the Memory of Victims of Repression.

At the Center of Islamic Civilization, members of the BukhSU delegation had the opportunity to explore the rich historical, scholarly and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people and gain deeper insight into the invaluable contribution of the nation’s great ancestors to the advancement of world science and civilization. Historical artifacts, state-of-the-art multimedia technologies, virtual exhibitions, thematic installations and interactive displays presented at the Center made a profound impression on the participants.

The delegation then visited the “Shon-Sharaf” State Museum at Victory Park, where participants viewed historical documents, photographs, personal belongings, military equipment and other unique exhibits illustrating the courage and resilience demonstrated by the people of Uzbekistan during the Second World War. The exhibitions also highlighted their selfless contribution on the front lines and the home front, as well as their dedication and perseverance in defending the homeland.

The educational visit continued at the Museum of the Memory of Victims of Repression. Students, faculty members and university employees explored exhibitions documenting some of the most difficult and challenging periods in the history of the Uzbek people, the consequences of political repression, and the lives and contributions of prominent figures who devoted themselves to the progress of the nation, science and education.

The visit was particularly significant not only in providing participants with a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan’s historical and cultural heritage, but also in strengthening historical awareness among young people, fostering respect for national values, and nurturing a profound sense of patriotism, civic responsibility and belonging.

As part of the “90 Days of Engagement” programme, Bukhara State University continues to implement a wide range of initiatives aimed at providing students, faculty members and university employees with meaningful educational and cultural activities while further enriching their intellectual, cultural and spiritual outlook.
