Innovative research developed by scientists and young researchers of Bukhara State University has been successfully introduced into practical use at the greenhouses of “Bukhoro Varnet” LLC. The project is based on beneficial entomophages cultivated in the university’s “Agrobioprotection” laboratory.

The laboratory was fully established through funding from the university’s Innovation Fund and focuses on scientific research into effective biological control technologies targeting agricultural pests. As part of a newly established commercial agreement, beneficial insects (entomophages) bred by young researchers are now being actively applied in industrial-scale greenhouse farming.

This technology contributes to reducing the use of chemical pesticides, preserving agroecosystems, and enabling the production of environmentally friendly, export-oriented agricultural goods that meet international quality standards.

Based on this achievement, the leadership and scientific community of Bukhara State University are planning to establish a spin-off company aimed at commercializing the university’s research outputs. This initiative is expected to further strengthen the integration of science and industry, generate income from intellectual property, and foster the development of a modern agricultural startup ecosystem.
