Special attention is being paid by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the development of sports, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and comprehensive support for talented young people across the country. In particular, ongoing reforms aimed at preparing young athletes for international competitions, unlocking their potential, and further strengthening sports infrastructure are yielding tangible results. Thanks to this support, student-athletes continue to achieve remarkable success in international sporting events and proudly raise the flag of our nation on the global stage.
Students of Bukhara State University have also achieved significant success by representing Uzbekistan with distinction in international sports arenas.
Within the framework of prestigious Asian Championships, the university athletes achieved the following results:
– Sevara Sadullayeva – became the Asian Champion in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) at the championship held in Tashkent, and also secured a qualification spot for the Asian Games;
– Rahimjon Uzokov – became the Asian Champion in freestyle wrestling at the U23 Asian Championships held in Da Nang, Vietnam, defeating all of his opponents;
– Shakhzodbek Yarashev – won the bronze medal in the 70 kg freestyle wrestling category at the U23 Asian Championships held in Da Nang, Vietnam.
These achievements are another practical result of the systematic efforts being carried out in higher education institutions to promote sports, support talented youth, and strengthen the competitiveness of students at the international level.
