Following the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Republic of Belarus, the two countries signed the Declaration on Establishing a Strategic Partnership. During the high-level talks, the development of cooperation in education, science, innovation, industrial collaboration, technology, and academic exchange was identified as one of the key priorities.
To implement the agreements reached at the highest level, a delegation of Bukhara State University (BSU) led by Rector Obidjon Khamidov is undertaking an international working visit to the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation from 27 to 31 July.
The main objective of the visit is to elevate cooperation with leading universities in Belarus and Russia in the fields of education, research, innovation, and industrial collaboration, expand joint academic programmes, and strengthen international scientific partnerships.
As part of the visit, the delegation held its first strategic meeting with the leadership of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). The discussions focused on:
expanding joint academic programmes in engineering, technology, and the digital economy;
enhancing academic mobility for students and faculty members;
implementing joint research and innovation projects;
strengthening the integration of higher education with industry.
At the conclusion of the meeting, held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, BSU Rector Obidjon Khamidov presented the leadership of the Belarusian National Technical University with a commemorative gift on behalf of Bukhara State University.
