Prestigious Scientific Forum Held at Bukhara State University

A republican scientific and practical conference titled “Topical Issues of Political Science – 2026: Digitalization, Security, and Global Trends,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, was held at Bukhara State University.

 

The event opened with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In his opening remarks, the Rector of the university, Professor Obidjon Khamidov, highlighted the strategic role of Bukhara in modern diplomacy:

“Today, Bukhara is emerging not only as a center of rich historical heritage, but also as an important platform for regional diplomacy. In recent years, visits by leaders of neighboring countries and high-level dialogues have elevated the city’s international political standing to a new level. Holding this forum at BukhSU is a symbolic step toward strengthening academic cooperation in the fields of digital transformation and security.”

 

During the plenary session, leading scholars and experts presented fundamental reports on pressing issues. Among them were Professor Jo‘rayev, advisor to the rector of the ISFT International Institute, Professor G. Jumayeva from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Professor I. Islomov from the Higher School of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting, Professor K. Mirzakhmedov from the National University of Uzbekistan, and Professor S. Raupov from Bukhara State University. Their presentations addressed key aspects of digitalization in international security, modeling of political processes, and the study of national statehood foundations.

 

Throughout the forum, important proposals and recommendations were developed on improving public administration in the era of digitalization and enhancing the quality of training specialists in political science. The forum served as a significant platform for enriching strategic thinking and integrating scientific achievements with practical applications.
