The Employment and Career Department of Bukhara State University prepares students and graduates for the labor market, provides career guidance and planning consultations, and offers practical assistance in finding suitable employment.

The department facilitates effective cooperation between the university, employers, and graduates. It also monitors graduate employment, studies labor market demand for qualified personnel, and expands professional development opportunities for students.

History and Development

The department was established as the Marketing Services Department under Resolution No. 48 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated January 28, 1998. Its initial responsibilities included studying the educational services market, identifying workforce needs across economic sectors, and facilitating graduate employment.

1998 — Establishment

The department began operating as the Marketing Services Department.

2004–2021 — Expansion of Activities

Employer partnerships, graduate job placement, and employment monitoring were strengthened.

2022 — Employment Center

An Employment Center was established within the department to support students and graduates in finding jobs.

2023–2025 — Marketing and Career Department

Career counseling, direct employer engagement, and digital services were expanded.

Since 2025 — Employment and Career Department

The department has focused on students' career development and graduate employment.

Providing relevant job opportunities and connecting students and graduates with employers.

Organizing Career Days, job fairs, seminars, training sessions, and workshops.
