Bukhara State University has an active Youth Union Primary Organisation (Yoshlar ittifoqi boshlang'ich tashkiloti), which serves as the university's primary student union body. The Youth Union plays a central role in organising a wide range of extracurricular, cultural, intellectual, and social activities that support students' holistic development.
The Youth Union regularly initiates and coordinates diverse student-centred events, including intellectual competitions such as "Zakovat" brain games and debate tournaments that develop critical thinking and teamwork skills; esports and digital competitions in disciplines like PUBG Mobile and Counter-Strike 2, reflecting the union's commitment to engaging students through modern formats; cultural and entertainment programmes such as the "BuxDU Party" concert events; community service initiatives, including participation in nationwide voluntary clean-up campaigns focused on environmental improvement and green space development; and heritage and educational excursions, such as organised visits to the historic Ark Fortress of Bukhara, aimed at strengthening students' sense of national identity, respect for history, and patriotism.
The Youth Union also operates a Volunteer Centre ("BuxDU Volontyorlar markazi"), which actively engages students in community outreach and social responsibility projects. Furthermore, the union conducts formal award ceremonies to recognise outstanding student achievements across multiple categories — including debate, intellectual games, reading competitions, and sports — with substantial prize funds awarded to winners, demonstrating the institution's investment in student talent and motivation.
Through these activities, the Youth Union ensures that students have meaningful opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, civic engagement, and community building beyond the academic curriculum.
