    Department of Translation Studies and Linguodidactics
   The Department of Translation Studies and Linguistics was established in October 2020. Nafisa Farhodovna Kasimova, doctor of philosophy in philological sciences, was appointed as the head of the department.
The department of "Translation studies and language didactics" carries out scientific research works in priority directions. Scientific research within the framework of the reforms on the development of human potential carried out in the conditions of modernization and diversification of the country's economy is reflected in the results of scientific research of the department today. Professors and teachers of the department 5120200- Theory and practice of translation (in English, German, French), 5611500- Guiding and interpreting activities (in English, German, French) and 5110100-Preschool and primary foreign language undergraduate courses in education; 70230201- Comparative linguistics, linguistic translation studies (English language) master's studies are organized at a high level.
  According to the decision No. 312 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 19, 2021 "On measures to effectively organize the popularization of learning foreign languages" in the academic year 2020-2021, school No. 23 in the city of Bukhara A branch of the Department of Translation Studies and Linguistics was established at the secondary school. The teachers of the department held master classes on the topics "How to effectively use warm up activities in EFL classes" and "The use of web tools in teaching foreign languages" within the framework of cooperation with foreign language teachers of the 23rd general secondary school in Bukhara. and seminar-trainings were held. 
  23 members of the department based on the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 19.05.2021 "On measures to bring the activity of popularizing the study of foreign languages in the Republic of Uzbekistan to a qualitatively new level" No. PQ-5117 8 have an International language certificate of S1 level, 10 have a national language certificate (15%).
 Educational directions, specializations and specializations prepared at the department
5120200 – Theory and practice of translation (in English, German, French). Currently, 168 students are studying in this direction.
5611500- Guiding and interpreting activities (in English, German, French). Currently, 205 students are studying in this direction.
5110100 – Foreign language in preschool and primary education. Currently, 164 students are studying in this direction.
70230201- Comparative linguistics, linguistic translation studies (English language). Currently, 45 graduate students are studying in this specialty.

   International cooperation in the department
 In the framework of international cooperation, the department includes prestigious universities of the world: Ralph Randell Shusler from New York University of the United States of America as part of the English Language Fellow program, Professor Ravindran Gargesh from the University of Delhi (QS 501-551), Professor from Javaharlal University (QS 563) Associate Professor Elena Markova from the Higher School of Economics (Visshaya shkola ekonomiki) (QS 298) located in Vaishna Narang, Russian Federation, Moscow, teaches students from various disciplines.

   Business contracts executed in cooperation with enterprises and organizations related to economic sectors
 In order to ensure the implementation of the decision number PK-3151 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 27, 2017 "On measures to further expand the participation of economic sectors and sectors in improving the quality of training of highly educated specialists", JSC "AMUBUKHOROKANALKURILISH", Scientific research with "VIOLA BUKHARA SILK" LLC, "ANCIENT EASTERN LOGISTICS" LLC, "Bezopasniy gorod" LLC, "Trans-Yol Sifat Servis" LLC, "Kurilishloyiha" LLC, "KOGONGOLD 2022" LLC and a number of other enterprises was carried out, translation services are provided by the teachers of the department on the basis of innovative cooperation agreements concluded with these enterprises in the amount of 30,000,000 soums.

    Research activities of the department
 The department mainly conducts scientific research in the areas of translation studies, foreign language education, cognitive linguistics, comparative linguistics, and guiding. Over the next 2 years, the members of the department published more than 100 scientific articles and theses in international and national scientific journals. was published. 15 monographs were published in international publishing houses.
More than 50 talented students are engaged in research work at the department. Over the past 2 years, more than 100 scientific articles of students have been published in scientific collections, as well as the participation of students in international and republican conferences.
