At Bukhara State University, a ceremonial award event was held within the framework of “Thursday — Youth Day,” dedicated to recognizing students and pupils who have achieved outstanding results in science, sports, and social activities.

At the opening of the event, the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, Akmal Nazarov, emphasized that the strong state youth policy and the wide opportunities created at the university are already yielding significant results.

During the ceremony, a number of talented young individuals who достойно represented the university at international and national levels were honored. In particular:

• recipients of Presidential and named state scholarships;
• holders of the Presidential Grant and the Fitrat Scholarship;
• members of the team that won the international mathematics olympiad “OMOUS-2026” held in Turkmenistan;
• winners of the university stage of the “Rector’s Scholarship” competition, as well as students of the Karakul Academic Lyceum affiliated with the university.

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the recognition of scientific supervisors and mentors who have played a key role in preparing state scholarship holders and nurturing talented youth.

In addition, winners of the 7th season of the subject olympiad organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages—engaging around 200 school students from the region—were also awarded. The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Nozimjon Ataboev, congratulated the winners and noted that young people’s enthusiasm for learning foreign languages is a crucial factor in the country’s future development.
