Target Indicators for 2024

Based on the strategic goals outlined in the “Uzbekistan-2030” strategy, and in accordance with the plan approved by the Minister of OTFI on October 26, 2023, BuxDU aims to send 136 professors and lecturers annually for professional development and internships abroad from 2024 to 2030. These trips will be financed through local and international grants as well as the university's extrabudgetary funds. Specifically, 36 faculty members will be funded by grants, while 100 faculty members will be supported by extrabudgetary resources.

The Presidential Decree No. PF-5847 on the "Concept for the Development of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030" sets a target to involve foreign professors and lecturers in educational processes, comprising 5% of the total academic staff in 2023 and 8% by 2025. In 2024, BuxDU plans to achieve a target of 70 foreign professors (approximately 7.5%), including at least 10 funded through various grants. The engagement of 60 foreign professors for a minimum of three weeks or 90 teaching hours is projected.

To enhance participation in various academic events, the university plans to send delegations comprising 80 individuals, with 30 funded by local and international grants.

In support of talented students, initiatives will be taken to facilitate their participation in summer schools, cultural events, and competitions abroad. This includes supporting 50 students and graduate students—10 through grants and 40 through extrabudgetary university funds.

The volume of secured grant funding is targeted to reach 2.5 billion soums.
