The Summit is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the founder of the Kazan Linguistic School I.A. Baudouin de Courtenay, the 150th anniversary of the beginning of his work at Kazan University, the 190th anniversary of the Higher School of Russian Philology and Culture named after Leo Tolstoy of KFU, as well as the 200th anniversary of the birth of Kayum Nasyri.
The key event of the Summit will be held on October 23-25: the International Scientific Conference “Challenges and Trends in World Linguistics” (hereinafter referred to as the Conference).
Format – hybrid.
The main areas of the Conference:
1. Computational and corpus linguistics.
2. Mechanisms of understanding and text complexity: an interdisciplinary approach.
3. Paleo-Russian studies and digital humanities.
4. Cognitive linguistics.
5. Clinical and neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics.
6. Traditional linguistics and its digital transformation.
7. Literature, art and language in a multicultural world.
8. Russian language and methods of its teaching.
9. Tatar and other Turkic languages in a multicultural world.
10. Theory and methods of teaching foreign languages.
11. Artificial intelligence in language education.
Participation in the conference is possible in two ways: offline (based at Kazan Federal University), as well as online.
Materials (articles) prepared by conference participants and uploaded by them during registration on the Summit website, corresponding to the topic of the report, will be published in the conference proceedings (electronic publication) and indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index.
The requirements and sample article format are given in the Appendix.
The Organizing Committee, based on the opinion of the reviewers, reserves the right to select and edit the submitted materials, returning them to the author for revision.
Participation in the conference without a report and submission of an article is possible.
The registration fee for participation in the conference is 800 rubles.

Registration period - from July 7 to October 7, 2025. The deadline for payment of the registration fee is no later than October 21.
Registered conference participants, if desired and having the appropriate research material, can also publish an article in the VAK journal "Philology and Culture. Philology and Culture», by sending it to the email address mileuscha@mail.ru. All publication requirements are on the journal’s website.
The VI Kazan International Linguistic Summit 2025 will also include
October 2-4: visiting sections of the International Scientific Conference «Challenges and Trends in World Linguistics» in Bukhara, held jointly with Bukhara State University (Uzbekistan).
October 20: Festival «LingvoExpo: Foreign Languages 2025» («Language teaching Expo 2025»).
October 22-24: III International Forum «Russian Language and Literature as a Means of Forming Russian Identity and International Integration», dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the Higher School of Russian Philology and Culture named after Leo Tolstoy, Kazan Federal University.
