An international conference titled “Desert-Oasis Ecosystem in the Context of Climate Change: Challenges and Solutions” was held at Bukhara State University. The event was dedicated to World Environment Day (June 5) and was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan; the Bukhara Regional Department for Environmental Protection and Climate Change Management; Green University—Central Asia’s Research University for Environment and Climate Change; Kazan Federal University; Omsk State Pedagogical University; and Bukhara State University.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by K. Samiev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovations at BukhSU. During the event, several professors delivered presentations on pressing issues related to the theme. Among them was Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agro-Biotechnology, A. Qodirov, who presented on “Attention to Environmental Protection in the Context of Climate Change.”
Additionally, the conference featured contributions from international partners, including Associate Professor P.V. Bolshannik from Omsk State Pedagogical University, Head of Department R.A. Ulengov, and Associate Professor Y. Shakirova from Kazan Federal University, who all delivered topic-related presentations.
