Prospective Cooperation Between Bukhara State University and Polish Company “NEMO”

Today, Bukhara State University hosted a delegation headed by Henrik Vidra, Director of the Polish company “NEMO”. The delegation was received by the rector of Bukhara State University, doctor of economics, professor Obidjon Khamidov.

During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the implementation of joint projects in cooperation with Bukhara State University in the fields of processing household and industrial waste, generating energy and fuel (briquettes) from waste, as well as the production of organic fertilizers and biogas.

Representatives of the Polish side emphasized that, as a result of consistent reforms carried out in recent years, the Republic of Uzbekistan has been demonstrating rapid and sustainable development, which is widely recognized by the international community. In particular, it was noted that the favorable business and investment climate established in the country is creating broad opportunities for foreign investors.

The parties exchanged views on the development of renewable energy sources, the introduction of modern technologies, and the implementation of projects aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability. At the conclusion of the meeting, promising areas for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation were identified.

In turn, the Rector of Bukhara State University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Obidjon Khamidov, noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland is consistently developing across all sectors, and emphasized that Bukhara State University is always open and ready to implement mutually beneficial projects with Polish entrepreneurs and research institutions in the fields of higher education, scientific research, and innovation.

The foreign guests delivered a detailed presentation on projects related to waste processing, the use of renewable energy sources, and the promotion of environmental sustainability. These proposals were discussed from a scientific and practical perspective, with particular attention paid to their integration into the educational process, scientific research, and international cooperation programs.

In conclusion, the Rector of Bukhara State University expressed the University’s readiness to further refine the proposed initiatives, to commence practical activities based on a clear roadmap, and to implement joint scientific projects and educational programs in the future.

This visit marked an important step toward expanding the international cooperation of Bukhara State University and advancing scientific and practical projects in the field of the green economy.
