Key International Cooperation Meetings of Bukhara State University in China

Currently, a delegation of Bukhara State University’s leadership, staff, and faculty members is on an official working visit in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, conducting a series of important meetings and negotiations within the framework of international cooperation.

 

During the visit, prospects for developing scientific-research and innovative collaboration in agriculture and economics are being thoroughly discussed, including digitalization of the agricultural sector, artificial intelligence applications, and modern information technologies in agriculture.

 

In particular, a meeting was held with the Deputy Director of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Tursunjon Muhammad, and the Director of the “Friendship” Cotton Agro-Cluster, Professor Wang. The discussions covered joint cultivation of cotton on BukhDU’s experimental fields, implementation of practical scientific experiments, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Concrete and practical proposals were put forward.

 

Additionally, the delegation visited the Institute of Smart Agriculture at Xinjiang University. During the meeting with the institute’s director and deputies, participants reviewed smart agricultural systems, AI-based yield prediction, digital management, remote monitoring, modern laboratories, scientific and technical infrastructure, and innovative facilities.

 

The meetings also focused on opportunities to implement digital and innovative agricultural projects within the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, conduct joint scientific research, and apply research results in practice.

 

Furthermore, during discussions with leading economists from Xinjiang University, the delegation considered involving international experts, including specialists in economics and digital agriculture, in the editorial board of Bukhara State University’s “Scientific Bulletin”. This initiative is aimed at improving the quality of scientific publications and strengthening their international reputation.

 

These meetings are of particular importance for expanding international scientific cooperation, introducing digital technologies and AI in agriculture, implementing innovative practices, and fostering the development of modern agrarian and economic sectors.
