The event brought together faculty members of Bukhara State University (BukhSU) and representatives of the delegation from the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center. Among the participants were Saidmurod Niyazbekov, PhD in Engineering Sciences and Director of the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center; Sunnatulla Aliyev, Deputy Director for Commercialization of Scientific Research; Yuki Yanagida, a Japanese specialist in charge of scientific affairs; and Berdakh Daniyorov, Head of the Laboratory for Mining Engineering and Advanced Processing of Mineral Resources.
The meeting was officially opened by Abror Jo‘rayev, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Bukhara State University, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the university’s growing role on the international stage and highlighted that cooperation with technologically advanced countries such as Japan creates new opportunities and horizons for young researchers.
During the meeting, Saidmurod Niyazbekov, Director of the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center under the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University, delivered a detailed presentation. He spoke about the Center’s activities, its state-of-the-art laboratories, opportunities created for young people, and joint projects being implemented in collaboration with Japanese partners.
The meeting was also attended by international expert Yuki Yanagida, a Japanese specialist on scientific affairs at the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center. His presentation entitled “SATREPS Hydrogen of Uzbekistan, for Uzbekistan, by Uzbekistan” aroused great interest among participants. The presentation analyzed the prospects for the development of hydrogen energy in Uzbekistan and the role of Japanese technologies in this field.
Within the framework of the event, lively discussions were held between faculty members and delegation representatives. The parties exchanged views and experiences in the areas of energy, innovation, and technology transfer.
The most significant outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Bukhara State University and the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center.
This memorandum aims to:
Coordinate joint scientific research activities between the two institutions;
Ensure academic mobility for students and young researchers;
Launch a new stage in the implementation of joint innovative projects.
