November 16 — In connection with the International Day of Tolerance, this date was widely celebrated at Bukhara State University. In this regard, in the main lobby of the university “New Uzbekistan— An exhibition and holiday concert program named bag‘rikeng diyor!” was organized. Exhibits, samples of folk art, photographs and literature reflecting the culture, traditions and lifestyle of different nationalities and peoples were presented at the exhibition. Through the event, it was aimed to inculcate the ideas of community, humanity, inter-ethnic harmony among young people.
The holiday concert program was organized by the first vice-rector of Bukhara State University for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Affairs D.Sh. Yavmutov revealed. In his speech, he emphasized that the values of loyalty and friendship are firmly established in the minds of young people, which is one of the important factors of the development of the society.
Also, Komilov Zarif Zokirovich, head of the Public Fund of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations under the Bukhara Regional Council, made a speech and congratulated everyone on the holiday and noted the need to further strengthen inter-ethnic harmony and respect for human values.
During the event Bukhara Regional Philharmonic, “Bukhara Waves” ensemble and representatives of Turkish, Tajik, Tatar, Bashkir and Korean national cultural centers performed songs, dances and performances of different nationalities. "Shodiyona", "Human value", "Sabzak", "Indian dance", "Buchaechum", "Mashallah", "Friendship of peoples and nations" such performances gave the audience a festive spirit.
During the event, the values of peace, harmony and tolerance, which are the basis of the policy of New Uzbekistan, were widely promoted and unforgettable impressions were given to all participants.
