The second day of the Uzbekistan-China II Education Forum in Tashkent was full of fruitful meetings and new cooperation initiatives. Rector of Bukhara State University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Obidjon Khamidov and Head of the Department of International Cooperation Shohabbos Sharofiddinov participated in the forum and held meetings with prestigious Chinese higher education institutions. During the meetings, the issues of expanding mutual cooperation in the fields of education, science, digital technologies and scientific research were discussed.
Including an agreement with Beijing Normal University (Beijing Normal University, 247th place in QS– 2026 ranking, 134th place in THE– 2026 ranking) on joint scientific projects in the fields of social sciences, philosophy and law, as well as the organization of summer and winter schools. has been achieved. With Lanzhou University (Lanzhou University, QS– 2026 ranking of 791– 800 groups), the issues of establishing a program of teaching Chinese as a second language at BuxDU, organizing joint educational programs and seminar-trainings were discussed.
There was an exchange of views with Xinjiang Agricultural University (Xinjiang Agricultural University) on strengthening cooperation in the fields of agronomy and biology, establishing modern scientific laboratories and greenhouses based on foreign grants, as well as introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in agriculture.
These meetings serve to further develop Uzbekistan-China educational relations, deepen scientific cooperation and increase the number of joint projects at the international level.
