IV International Chemistry Olympiad was held among students at the base of Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli, located in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

According to the final results, Bukhara State University won 3 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze medals, Bukhara State Technical University won 3 bronze medals, Karshi State University won 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze medals.
In total, the Uzbek team won 4 gold, 2 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
The team of Bukhara State University won the most medals in category B of the Olympiad and won the 1st place.
