Bukhara State University hosted a meeting with the renowned Turkologist and nephew of the Jadid movement leader Fayzulla Khojayev - Professor Temur Khoja Usmonkhoja ugli.
As part of the visit, a warm dialogue was held with the university’s rector, Obidjon Khamidov, the rector of the Bukhara Pedagogical Institute, Bahodir Mamurov, as well as faculty members and students. The discussion focused on the 95-year history of BukhSU, the legacy of the Jadids, and the importance of passing on spiritual and educational values in the development of science and society. Participants also paid tribute to Fayzulla Khojayev by laying flowers at his bust, honoring his memory with deep respect and gratitude.
Professor Temur Khoja Usmonkhoja ugli also met with students at the university’s “Museum of Victims of Repression.” In his lecture, he spoke about the historical significance of the Jadid movement, the political and educational activities of Fayzulla Khojayev, and the lessons his legacy offers for today’s generation. At the end of the visit, he left his sincere wishes in the museum’s “Guest Book.”
This visit served not only to enrich students’ knowledge of history, but also to strengthen their sense of national identity, broaden their spiritual and intellectual outlook, and inspire them to confidently strive for the future.
