Dr. N.B. Ataboyev, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Bukhara State University (BukhSU), Doctor of Philology (DSc), and Associate Professor, has been awarded the Faculty Enrichment Program (FEP) grant. This program is fully funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent and administered by the American Councils for International Education. He is currently undertaking his professional development at Iowa State University in the United States.
The program is designed to enhance the pedagogical skills and subject expertise of Uzbek faculty members, foster cooperation between higher education institutions, and promote the exchange of academic and research experience. It is carried out over the course of one semester in the U.S.
As part of the grant, all expenses are covered during the semester at the host institution, including costs for professional development materials and participation in academic conferences.
For reference, Iowa State University is ranked among the leading global universities: it is placed 351–400 in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings and holds the #470 position in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.
At present, Dr. Ataboyev is actively engaged at the Department of English at Iowa State University, where he was formally introduced and welcomed by the department and faculty leadership. He is also actively participating in several workshops alongside faculty members at the beginning of the academic year.
