Today, a meeting was held at Bukhara State University between the leadership of the Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection and the administration of Bukhara State University.
The meeting was attended by Umidjon Umarov, head of the Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection; the rector of the university, Obidjon Khamidov; the faculty of History and Law; professors and lecturers; and graduating students of the “Social Work” and “Psychology” programs.
The meeting was opened by Rector Obidjon Khamidov, who spoke about the reforms being carried out in our country to develop the social sector. Following this, Umidjon Umarov, head of the Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection, addressed the participants and explained that the agency was established in 2023 by a presidential decree. He emphasized its mission to provide professional social services and assistance, support citizens facing difficult life situations, offer comprehensive aid to people with disabilities, women, children, the elderly, and youth, protect families, develop the social insurance system, and ensure that services are organized transparently and effectively at the mahalla level while promoting inclusiveness and social adaptation in society. He also noted that BukhSU graduates have priority opportunities for employment within the agency.
During the meeting, students and graduates raised questions of interest. For instance, Anorabonu Usmonova, a graduate of the “Social Work” program, asked about the employment process, interview questions, and job descriptions.
Agency representatives clarified that the interview questions have been published on the websites argos.uz and ihma.uz and that a set of 250 questions is available.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Bukhara State University and the Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection.
This memorandum of cooperation will support BukhSU graduates in securing employment at the National Agency for Social Protection, strengthen their practical skills, encourage innovative initiatives in the social sector, and promote the implementation of new collaborative projects.
