On this occasion, in cooperation with the Committee on Women and Family Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Bukhara Regional Government, an event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the “Women’s Register” initiative was held under the theme “From Economic Independence to Social Activity,” as part of the celebrations of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, under the motto “For the Homeland, for the Nation, for the People.” The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairwoman of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs Zulayho Bahriddinovna, Mayor of Bukhara Region Botir Zaripov, Deputy Mayor of Bukhara Region, Doctor of Science, Professor H.T. Artikova, responsible leaders of the region, citizens of Bukhara included in the “Women’s Register,” and women entrepreneurs.

“In today’s state policy, creating decent conditions for women is a priority. Thanks to the initiatives of our esteemed President, many reforms are being implemented in this field in our region as well. In particular, unemployed women and those wishing to start entrepreneurial activities are being provided with practical assistance. Preferential loans and one-time financial aid have been allocated. We consider it our duty to ensure that women actively participate in all areas. We have set ourselves the task of developing the ‘Bukhara experience’ based on women’s satisfaction with these reforms,” said Mayor of Bukhara Region Botir Zaripov in his opening remarks.
