Cooperation Between Bukhara state university and the University of Nebraska at Omaha is strengthening

03.07.2025

A delegation from one of the leading U.S. universities — the University of Nebraska at Omaha — visited Bukhara state university. During the visit, bilateral presentations were held, and a roundtable discussion was organized with the participation of the university leadership and the guests. During the meeting, the visitors shared the experiences they gained throughout their trip.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bukhara state university and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the two higher education institutions in the fields of education, scientific research, and academic exchange. The representatives from the University of Nebraska at Omaha were also presented with certificates as souvenirs.

As part of the visit and the “Relevant 90 Days” initiative, the Department of English Linguistics at Bukhara state university organized a summer school on the theme “Dialogue of East and West: Multilingual, Inclusive, and Multicultural Education in Uzbekistan.”

The summer school, titled “Educational Dialogue of East and West: Multilingual Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion in Uzbekistan”, featured active participation from professors of the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences of the University of Nebraska at Omaha — Dr. Madina Djuraeva, Dr. Justin Anderson — as well as graduate students from the university.

Throughout the summer school, BukhSU professors and American scholars delivered thematic presentations and exchanged experiences. This collaboration not only strengthens scientific and cultural ties but also contributes to deeper integration into the international education system.
