As part of his official visit to France, the Rector of Bukhara State University, Obidjon Khamidov, held a series of important meetings in the city hall of Toulouse. In particular, he met with Mr. Maxime Boyer, Deputy Mayor of Toulouse and Vice President of Toulouse Métropole.
It is worth noting that Maxime Boyer has visited Uzbekistan several times and has actively participated in international investment forums, conferences, and other events. He also collaborates closely with intellectual centers in Uzbekistan and places great emphasis on advancing educational partnerships.
A meeting was held at the historic Toulouse City Hall on Capitol Square, with the participation of officials responsible for education. During the discussion, the parties explored ways to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between Toulouse universities and Bukhara State University. Agreements were reached in the following areas:
Joint educational programs in artificial intelligence, international business, law, and international law;
Implementation of research projects focused on regional development challenges;
Exchange programs for students and faculty with institutions such as the College of Law and College of Economics.
In addition, Obidjon Khamidov held a separate meeting with representatives of the Toulouse School of Economics, including Professor François Poinas. The dialogue resulted in outlining several collaborative initiatives, including:
Organizing 2–3-week academic exchange programs and internships for students and faculty;
Developing joint educational programs aimed at training specialists in various sectors of the economy.
This visit marked a significant step toward strengthening educational ties between the two countries and fostering the exchange of modern knowledge and innovations.
