On June 23, a press conference was held at the "Universal" sports complex of Bukhara State University under the initiative “90 Critical Days” in cooperation with the Agency of Information and Mass Communications (AIMC) of Bukhara Region, Bukhara State University, and the Bukhara Regional Branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan. The event was titled “Admission to the 2025–2026 Academic Year and Conducting Professional Creative Examinations for Sports Education Programs Requiring Special Talent.”
As part of the event, an Open Doors Day was organized to inform prospective students about the advantages of studying at Bukhara State University and the opportunities available during the admission process. An exhibition was also held in the complex foyer, showcasing the achievements of student-athletes and faculty members from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Attendees were also provided with detailed information about the university’s academic programs.
The press conference, organized by the university’s Information Service Department, was attended by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work D. Yavmutov, Head of the Rector’s Executive Office B. Adizov, Head of the Academic and Methodological Department S.S. Davlatov, Head of the Information Service Otabek Jalolov, heads of departments, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports A.Sh. Inoyatov, department heads, and several journalists and bloggers. Media representatives from "Uza", "Istiqlol TV", "Potrebitel Bukhara Plus", "xabar.uz", "Buxoro Yoshlari", "Bukharabest", "Tezkor Yangiliklar", "Yoshlar TV", "Ochun.uz", "World7.uz", "Yangi O'zbekiston", "Sevimli TV", "Buxoro TV", and others also attended.
The event was opened by First Vice-Rector D. Yavmutov, who spoke about the 2025–2026 admission process, the professional creative exams for sports education programs, ongoing developments at the university, its academic achievements, departmental activities, and future objectives. He also highlighted the university’s international standing with results in rankings such as Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, UNWTO TedQual international accreditation, ACQUIN, and UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024.
Within the framework of the press conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Bukhara State University and the Bukhara Regional Branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan.
In connection with June 27, Press and Mass Media Workers Day, and in recognition of their active involvement in promoting international, scientific, social, cultural, artistic, sports, youth, IT, and digital development in cooperation with the university, a number of partner media representatives, bloggers, and journalists were presented with certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts by the university administration and the Information Service Department.
