A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between France’s renowned Université Côte d’Azur, which is ranked 688th in the QS World University Rankings, and Bukhara State University.
The MoU was signed by the Rector of Bukhara State University, Professor Obidjon Khamidov, during the 11th International Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (IWGM 2025), held in Nice, France. The agreement outlines a mutual cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as scientific research, academic exchange, and joint projects aimed at sustainable development.
Université Côte d’Azur (located in Nice and Sophia Antipolis) is internationally recognized, holding 688th place in the QS World University Rankings 2025, 601–800th in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, and 401–500th in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU, Shanghai).
The university hosts approximately 31,000 to 35,000 students, around 20% of whom are international. Its academic strengths span computer science, engineering (electrical, mechanical, and chemical), life and health sciences, physics, mathematics, medicine, business and economics, social sciences, the arts, and humanities.
