International Scientific-Practical Conference on “Prospects for the Development of Inclusive Tourism in Uzbekistan” Held at Bukhara State University

As part of the "Urgent 90 Days" initiative, Bukhara State University hosted an international scientific-practical conference titled “Prospects for the Development of Inclusive Tourism in Uzbekistan.” The conference aimed to present scientific and practical proposals for formulating innovative management approaches, adopting international experiences, and developing strategies to build sustainable and competitive tourism regions.

The event brought together the university leadership led by Rector Obidjon Khamidov, academic staff, researchers, students, as well as foreign and local scholars actively involved in tourism development.

Rector Obidjon Khamidov delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing that under the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, key national concepts for tourism development have been launched. He noted the increasing role of not only international but also domestic tourism and underlined the university's efforts in advancing tourism infrastructure and education.

Throughout the conference, insightful presentations were delivered by both international experts and BukhSU professors. Notably, Professor B.N. Navruz-Zoda from the Department of Marketing and Management gave a lecture on “Establishing an Innovative Tourism Route – The Golden Triangle of Bukhara.” Additionally, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor N.S. Ibragimov, presented the concept of the InclUZ” mobile application, an interactive map designed to improve inclusive tourism infrastructure for people with disabilities.

This scientific gathering not only highlighted the current state and challenges of the tourism sector but also opened new avenues for cooperation, research, and innovation in the field of inclusive tourism in Uzbekistan.
