On June 14 of this year, representatives from China — Mr. Yu Xueke of Henan Agricultural University and Ms. Li Xueying, a specialist from the Cotton Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences — visited the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agrobiotechnology at Bukhara State University. The guests took part in a roundtable discussion titled “Experience in Cotton Cultivation Based on Chinese Technology.”
At the beginning of the visit, the university administration, led by Rector Obidjon Khamidov, introduced the Chinese scientists to the university’s ongoing efforts aimed at developing various sectors of agriculture.
During the discussion, Associate Professor of BukhSU and Candidate of Biological Sciences, F.Kh. Jumayev, presented a lecture titled “Improving Soil Quality and Fertility in Bukhara Region.” The session also featured valuable insights into efficient methods of cotton cultivation using Chinese technology — including planting schemes (such as the 76-10 paired row system), optimal seeding depth, and modern agro-technical solutions.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing participants to exchange experiences and explore collaborative opportunities.
