In recent years, Uzbekistan has seen unprecedented growth in the field of sports. This progress is evident not only in the international victories of professional athletes, but also in the widespread adoption of healthy lifestyles among the youth. Modern sports complexes and stadiums are being built across the country, youth and children's sports schools are being enhanced, and our athletes are raising the national flag high in Asian and global arenas.
A shining example of this progress is the recent success of Bukhara State University in the "Universiade 2025"—an "annual nationwide sports competition among students of higher educational institutions. In the final stage of the tournament, BukhSU secured an impressive 2nd place overall, highlighting the university’s growing excellence in the field of sports.
BukhSU athletes claimed 1st place in volleyball (men’s division), judo, and checkers.
The university team also earned 2nd place in basketball (men’s division), Greco-Roman wrestling, and freestyle wrestling.
Meanwhile, the women’s volleyball and table tennis teams achieved 3rd place.
These victories are the tangible result of the ongoing educational and athletic reforms both within the country and at Bukhara State University itself.
