Today, on May 22, a meeting took place with the delegation led by Sherzod Rahimovich Ashurov, Hokim of Gijduvon district, along with the leadership of Bukhara State University headed by Rector Obidjon Khamidov, university faculty members, and student youth.
The meeting was opened with an introductory speech by Rector O.Kh. Khamidov. In his speech, he emphasized that the purpose of organizing "Meetings between Governors and Youth" is to provide employment opportunities for young people and to promote entrepreneurship based on preferential loans.
The mayor of Gijduvon district spoke about the recent changes in the district, the rapid economic development program, and the ongoing measures and projects, supported by video clips and presentations. He also discussed upcoming recreational, entrepreneurial, and economic facilities soon to be launched. Gijduvon, historically famous worldwide for its entrepreneurial population since ancient times, now offers new opportunities for youth.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format and was filled with lively questions and answers. For instance, Yulduz Istamova, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Arts, expressed her desire to start a business in women's hairdressing. In response, it was announced that a room and funding for equipment would be allocated from a school. Additionally, it was emphasized that within the framework of the "90 days of meaningful summer" project, all opportunities will be provided to students who want to take extra lessons or establish their own businesses during the summer vacation.
The goals of today's meeting were successfully achieved.
