From May 17 to 23 this year, the Republic final stage of the “Student League” volleyball competition is being held at Bukhara State University. The tournament brings together a total of 368 participants from 14 regions across the country.
Today, the official opening ceremony of the competition took place. Azamat Naimov, Head of the Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Bukhara Region, and Sh.J. Teshayev, Rector of Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, addressed the audience. They emphasized that the volleyball competition organized within the framework of the “Student League” plays a vital role in promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people, strengthening patriotism, and fostering a spirit of teamwork.
During the event, special attention was drawn to the importance of volleyball as a sport that not only increases physical activity among students but also encourages them to work together as a team and communicate in a friendly environment. It was also noted that state support for sports such as volleyball has been increasing year by year, which further stimulates students’ interest in sports.
At the end of the opening ceremony, the competition was officially declared open, and the first volleyball matches began.
The competition will continue until May 23, with winning teams being awarded in a formal ceremony.
