Kogon District Mayor Meets with Local University Students
Today, on May 6, a meaningful meeting was organized between Otabek Kazoqov, Governor of Kogon District, and students from Kogon studying at higher education institutions.
The event was attended by Obidjon Shodiyev, representative of the National Bank of Uzbekistan, heads of various organizations and enterprises, university leadership, faculty members, and students.
The meeting was opened by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of BukhSU, R.G. Jumayev, who emphasized that such gatherings between local authorities and youth are being held on a district-by-district basis and serve as a vital platform for promoting the socio-economic development of the region.
In his speech, Governor Otabek Qazoqov shared updates on ongoing reforms in Kogon, new industrial enterprises and projects being implemented, the establishment of a Youth Center, a Youth Industrial Zone, and collaboration with international partners. He encouraged students to deepen their knowledge, set clear goals, and focus on language acquisition and professional development.
During the meeting, Obidjon Shodiyev provided detailed information about paid internships and the procedures for obtaining preferential loans. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and received practical advice on employment, transportation, and starting their own businesses.
