Republican Scientific-Practical Conference on “Pressing Issues in Political Science” Held at Bukhara State University

A Republican scientific-practical conference titled “Pressing Issues in Political Science” was held at Bukhara State University. The event was officially opened by the university’s rector, Obidjon Khamidov, who in his opening remarks highlighted the growing importance of preparing future political scientists and noted that the political science program at the university was launched only in recent years. He also shared insights about the first “Central Asia–European Union” summit currently taking place in Samarkand.

The conference featured a range of thought-provoking presentations from distinguished scholars. Notably, Professor E.S. Sultanova, Doctor of Political Sciences from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, delivered a lecture titled “Political Technologies as a Form of Political Art.”

Professor I.N. Islamov, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Head of Department at the Higher School of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting, gave a presentation on “The Development of Political Science in Uzbekistan.”

Professor O.O. Sirojov, Doctor of Political Sciences and Head of Department at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, as well as an alumnus of BukhSU, presented on the topic “Geopolitical Processes in Central Asia: From Challenges to Opportunities.”

From Bukhara State University, Professor S.S. Raupov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, delivered a lecture on “Nizamulmulk and the Problems of Social Justice.” Meanwhile, Professor Sh. Vohidov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, spoke on “Nizamulmulk and His Work ‘Siyasatnama’: Its Content, Translation, and Significance.”

Professor F.M. Bafoev from Bukhara University of Engineering and Technology, Candidate of Political Sciences, also contributed a presentation relevant to the conference theme.

The event concluded with a student presentation by N.D. Mansurova, a political science major at Bukhara State University, who spoke on “Sustainable Development Goals and Gender Equality.”
