In line with the Presidential Decree No.128 issued on March 15, 2024, regarding preparations for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference to be held in Samarkand in 2025, higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have been assigned to establish partnerships with various countries. As part of this initiative, Bukhara State University (BukhSU) is set to conduct promotional events in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
On this occasion, Rector O. Khamidov met with Prof. Dr. Ghassan Aouad, Rector of Abu Dhabi University, one of BukhSU’s key partners. During the visit, he familiarized himself with the university’s activities. Notably, Abu Dhabi University, like BukhSU, serves as the national coordinator for the UI GreenMetrics international ranking.
Additionally, O.Khamidov also had a meeting, which was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE with Muhammad Kamil, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Cultural Diplomacy. Discussions focused on priority areas for cooperation in education, science, and culture.
Later that day, Rector O. Khamidov traveled to Bahrain to participate in a conference organized by Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School (France). The event centered on the use of artificial intelligence in tourism education and the development of professional training programs.
