On September 15, 2024, a two-person delegation consisting of Marcelo Fantoni, PhD, Vice President for Global Education at Kent State University, USA (ranked 1001-1200 in the QS World University Rankings 2024), and Ayya Hudayberganova, Director of Eurasia Strategies at Kent State University, visited Bukhara State University.
Representatives of the delegation met with the university's rector, Obidjon Khamidov, and discussed areas of cooperation of mutual interest. In particular, the Vice President of Kent State University, Marcelo Fantoni, discussed the establishment of the most popular study programs in collaboration with Bukhara State University. Both universities gave greater priority to design, business, and chemical physics. In addition, issues such as the development of joint grant projects between Kent and Bukhara State Universities, the exchange of professors and teachers and students, and the implementation of joint scientific research were also discussed. It was agreed to draw up a roadmap and determine further tasks based on it in order to accelerate cooperation between the two universities.
