Today, October 11, a delegation of journalists and bloggers from Karakalpakstan, led by Azamat Ajimuratov, Press Secretary of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, visited Bukhara State University to study the conditions created for students studying on an additional quota basis. The delegation included Gulayim Kaniyazova (admin of the Khoja.uz telegram channel), Oybek Kengesbayev (journalist of the Karakalpakstan Television and Radio Company), Akmal Srajatdinov (editor-in-chief of the Kar24.uz website), Nuratdinov Aysultan (operator of Jaslar TV), Dilmuratov Nurlibek (teleoperator of the Karakalpakstan Television and Radio Company), Nugayev Erbol (teleoperator of the Karakalpakstan Television and Radio Company), Rakhimov Mirzobek (correspondent of the Kar24.uz website), Shukhrat Urazbayev (blogger), Begdiyar Utepbayev (blogger). Representatives of the Karakalpakstan media were warmly welcomed by the university leadership led by the rector of the university, Obidjon Khamidov, and a press tour was organized for them throughout Bukhara State University.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 234 applicants from Karakalpakstan were admitted to undergraduate programs, 122 of whom were admitted to full-time, 95 to part-time, and 17 to evening programs based on additional admission quotas.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the conditions created for young people to receive quality education at Bukhara State University, including the activities of the robotics center, educational auditoriums, registrar's office, gyms, student dormitories, coworking center, Psychological and sociological research center, legal clinic, ARC library. At the same time, they participated in the teaching process and communicated with students from Karakalpakstan.
