Bukhara State University has established close cooperation with French higher education institutions. Also, the only branch of the Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School in Central Asia, which is ranked 11th in the world and 1st in France in the field of tourism and hospitality, is operating at Bukhara State University.
The university's ties with France are not limited to educational programs.
As you know, the Futsal World Championship is currently being held in our country, and some of the matches were organized in Bukhara.
The French senior football team won the world championship in 1998 and 2018, the European championship in 1984 and 2000, and also won the European Championship in 1984. They won a gold medal at the Olympics.
In futsal, the main achievement of the French team so far is to qualify for the World Cup in Uzbekistan. Today, the French futsal team will play its first match in the world championships in its history at the Bukhara Universal Sports Complex.
Before the historic match, a delegation led by the head of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, visited our university. The delegation included representatives of the federation, relatives of the players, and fans. Many fans attended the meeting with the guests. F. Diallo expressed his hope that the students and professors of Bukhara State University will support the team in the historic match, and the national team is aware of this and is pleased with it.
Pro-rector for International Cooperation A. Jorayev also welcomed the guests and wished the French team good luck in today's match.
