The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation got acquainted with the conditions created in the student dormitory of Bukhara State University.

On September 12, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Otabek Mahkamov visited Bukhara State University and held a conversation with students living in student dormitories in connection with the start of the new 2024/2025 academic year.  In particular, the conditions created for students in student dormitories, canteens, and spiritual rooms were reviewed.

For information, it is worth noting that in the 2024/2025 academic year, 8 student dormitories with 2,867 places were established at Bukhara State University. The university has allocated 2,008 female students for 6 buildings and 859 male students for 2 buildings. Applications from students were accepted in 4 priorities. Priority 1 is for disabled people of groups I and II, those listed in the Unified Register of Social Protection, Women's Register, Iron Register and Youth Register, priority 2 is for students with permanent residence in another region, that is, from the regions, priority 3 is for full-time, undergraduate students, and priority 4 is for students studying in general correspondence and evening education and applying for dormitory services. As of September 10 of the current academic year, 2,504 applications were received through the My.gov.uz billing system and 2,501 applications were approved. So far, 2,112 students have been accommodated in dormitories. For information, a modern building on Yangiabad Street, Rabotikalmoq MFY, Bukhara district, will soon be put into operation for students studying at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agrobiotechnologies.
