In recent years, as in all areas, extensive reforms have been carried out in the higher education system. The result of this can be seen in the increase in the coverage of higher education from 9 percent to 42 percent and the great results being achieved.
Today, a meeting of the university's rector Obidjon Khamidov with professors and teachers was held at the Bukhara State University activists' meeting center. The meeting was opened by the university's rector Obidjon Khamidov with the slogan “If we are united - we are one people, if we are united - we are our homeland!” He opened the meeting with holiday greetings on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of our independence, which is being held under the slogan "The 33rd anniversary of our independence", and called on professors and teachers to be active in the scientific, educational, and spiritual-enlightening fields.
During the meeting, a ceremony was held to award professors and teachers who received the scientific degrees of professor, doctor of science, associate professor, doctor of philosophy and those who achieved other achievements. Also, during the meeting, 3 professors and teachers (Durdimurod Durdiyev, To'lqin Rasulov, Kamoliddin Samiyev) who published the most articles in journals indexed in the Scopus database were recognized by the rector as "The Best Teacher 2024". During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Educational Affairs Azizbek Amonov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Rustam Jumayev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations To'lqin Rasulov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Abror Jo'rayev, Head of the Department for Quality Control of Education Ziyodullo Nurov participated with their reports.
