About the department.
On August 28, 2013, the department of Romano-Germanic languages ​​was created, and on May 28, 2015, the department was renamed the Department of German and French. May 5, 2017 the head of the department was appointed doctor of philological sciences M.M. Juraeva. After being transferred to the post of dean of the faculty of foreign languages ​​from April 24, 2019, from April 24, 2019, the head of the department is D. Karimova.
The department will introduce its scientific work in three areas.
1.The study of the problems of German and Uzbek languages ​​on the basis of comparative typology;
2.Teaching foreign languages ​​based on new technologies;
3.Direct translation.
There are 4 undergraduate courses and one master's degree in linguistics (French).
Number of students: 182 (undergraduate) and 12 masters
5120100 - Bachelor of Philology and Language Teaching (German and French) 5120200 - Theory and Practice of Translation (German and French) and the preparation of Masters in 5A120102 - Linguistics (French).
The department works on the basis of a plan approved by the council of the university and the faculty, and therefore the meeting of the department are held according to this plan. Considering the real needs of public life in our country, a lot of work is being done to modernize the higher education system, introduce modern forms and technologies of education, and improve the specialization of specialists.
The department of German and French is taught by four teachers with a scientific degree (one of them is a doctor of philological sciences, three candidates of philological sciences), three senior teachers and nineteen teachers.
The department is provided with normative and methodological documentation in special subjects, including standard programs, work programs, lectures, study guides, training materials, guidelines, modules and individual questionnaires in all subjects.
The department has 26 professors and teachers, including 21 full-time teachers, 4 at 0.5 rates and 1 at 0.25. The average age of the department is 40, and the scientific potential is 17.5%.
The German and French languages ​​department signed a memorandum with the German University of Münster Westchester and Cordula Schulz with the German coordinator of the Erasmus project Albina Haas. There are practical student exchanges and mutually beneficial partnerships in order to achieve the goals set out in the paragraphs of the memorandum.
