Rishod Rashidovich Sobirov was born on September 11, 1986 in Jondor district of Bukhara region. He graduated from Bukhara State University in 2008.
Rishod Sobirov is one of the athletes who deservedly defends the honor of Uzbekistan in the international arena in judo. Rishod Sobirov participated in various national and international judo competitions and won prizes.
• 1st place at the Asian Junior Championships in Taipei, China on November 12-14, 2005.
• 2nd place at the Asian Championships in Kuwait on May 12-18, 2007.
• 3rd place in the international tournament on March 17-19, 2007 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
• 5th place at the Asian Championships in Jeju, Korea on April 23-29, 2008, 3rd place at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China on August 12-25, 2008, and 2nd place at the World Team Championships in Tokyo, Japan on October 3-6, 2008. He won a silver medal in the competition.
• 1st place at the international tournament in Hamburg, Germany on March 20-23, 2009, and 3rd place at the Asian Championship in Taipei, China on May 15-25, 2009.
• 1st place at the international tournament in Suwon, Korea on January 16-18, 2010, 2nd place at the international tournament in Paris, France on February 4-6, 2010, 1st place at the international tournament in Gammart, Tunisia on May 7-11, 2010, On May 11-17, 2010 he took the 2nd place in the international tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and on July 1-5, 2010 he took the 1st place in the international tournament in Moscow, Russia.
