On the occasion of Prevention Day, a preventive event was held on “Be aware of cybercrime” with the participation of Karakalpak students studying in group 6-5Uzb25 of the Faculty of Philology.
U.Torayeva, adviser to the dean of women's affairs of the faculty, lieutenant A.Gulyamov, tutor N.Safarova, and employees of the Department of Digital Education Technologies took part in this event.
During the event, the participants were informed about today's widespread internet frauds, cases of cheating through fake pages, unknown “.apk” detailed information about the distribution of malicious programs through files. Experts warned young people about cyber crimes, the dangers of disclosing personal information on social networks and the need to follow the rules of cyber hygiene.
Also, an open dialogue with students was organized and their questions about cyber security were answered. In their opinion, the participants of the event emphasized that safe use of the Internet is the responsibility of every user.
The main goal of this preventive meeting — consists in increasing awareness among young people against cybercrimes, developing digital culture and strengthening the skills of safe behavior on the Internet.
