“Cyber culture promotion month&rdquo" at Bukhara State University. a number of promotional activities were held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages in cooperation with the Department of Digital Educational Technologies and faculty tutors. The main goal of the events was to create a culture of digital security among students, to strengthen the skills of conscious and responsible use of the Internet, as well as to provide practical information about various types of cyber threats in the online space.
During the event:
Information was given about common forms of cybercrime (fraud, phishing, malicious links, fraudulent investments, and personal data mining).
Discussions were conducted with the students on examples of real-life cyber attack scenarios.
The consequences of downloading unknown files and APK applications, the risks of disclosing personal information on social networks, the need to use passwords and two-step protection systems on mobile devices are explained separately.
Recommendations were made regarding digital etiquette (netiquette), online communication culture and copyright compliance.
During the seminar-training, videos were shown, questions and answers were organized, and a short test was conducted to determine the level of cyber literacy among students.
At the end of the event, notes for students (recommendations on creating passwords, a list of reliable sources, security rules) were distributed and they were given practical instructions on how to properly use their personal digital devices.
This promotional work served to consciously promote cyber culture at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and to form responsible behavior in the digital environment.
