BUKHARA STATE UNIVERSITY ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTED TO FURTHER ENHANCE EDUCATIONAL QUALITY BASED ON THE 2025 STUDENT SURVEY RESULTS

24.12.2025

At Bukhara State University, the results of the student survey conducted in 2025 were analyzed in comparison with data from previous years in order to identify sustained improvements and remaining challenges within the internal quality assurance system. Based on this evidence, a set of structured and targeted measures was implemented to further enhance educational quality and institutional effectiveness.
The survey results demonstrated a noticeable increase in student awareness of the University’s quality assurance system and institutional policies. However, inconsistencies in the interpretation of the Quality Assurance Policy across different academic units were identified. To address this issue, the Quality Assurance Policy was systematically communicated and promoted at the faculty level, and annual “Student Feedback and Actions Taken” reports were prepared and published through official channels. As a result, student awareness of quality assurance mechanisms exceeded 85 percent.
Positive evaluations regarding the practice-oriented nature of academic programs were recorded; nevertheless, delays in incorporating student feedback into certain curricula were observed. In response, the participation of students and employers in curriculum review processes was made mandatory. This ensured that nearly all academic programs were reviewed and updated with documented stakeholder involvement, strengthening their relevance and alignment with learning outcomes.
Student satisfaction with teaching quality and assessment transparency remained stable and showed continued improvement. At the same time, differences in teaching practices across faculties persisted. To reduce these disparities, advanced pedagogical practices and unified assessment approaches were disseminated through continuous professional development activities. These measures contributed to a further reduction in negative feedback related to teaching quality.
In the areas of admission, study progression, and graduation, students increasingly gained access to structured academic guidance. However, insufficient monitoring of academic advisors’ activities was identified as a weakness. To address this, an evaluation and reporting system for academic advisors was introduced, which led to a decrease in student complaints related to academic issues.
Student trust in academic staff remained high and stable throughout the reporting period. At the same time, the need to continuously balance teaching workload and educational quality was recognized. Consequently, the weight of quality-related indicators in faculty evaluation and promotion processes was increased, and these indicators were formally integrated into attestation procedures.
Although negative feedback regarding distance and traditional learning resources decreased to a minimal level, limited student awareness of support services persisted. To resolve this issue, the scope of the Student Support Center was expanded, and communication about available services was intensified. As a result, utilization of student support services increased significantly.
In the area of information management, students increasingly relied on official institutional information sources; however, duplication of information remained a challenge. To address this, a unified information platform and academic calendar system were introduced, leading to an increase in official information usage to over 90 percent.
Transparency within the University was evaluated positively by students, yet insufficient availability of information for international stakeholders was identified. To improve international visibility, quality assurance–related information began to be published in English, and international open-access quality reports were prepared.
As part of continuous monitoring and periodic review processes, trend analyses based on student survey data from 2023–2025 were conducted and formally documented. These analyses provided an evidence-based foundation for institutional decision-making. In parallel, the internal quality assurance system was further strengthened to ensure readiness for national and international accreditation processes.
Overall Outcomes
As a result of the measures implemented based on the 2025 student survey, Bukhara State University further advanced its internal quality assurance system. Student feedback became a systematic and institutionalized component of academic governance and curriculum development, transparency and accountability increased, and educational quality indicators demonstrated sustained positive growth. The University reinforced its quality culture and achieved a higher level of preparedness for external evaluation and accreditation procedures.
